Sticky Fingers Pre-school was established on the site of Newlands Primary school in September 2000. Due to increasing demand we opened our second setting on the site of Redbridge Primary School in September 2011.
We all accept children from the age of 2 – 4 years . We are open for 38 weeks of the year and follow the school term time calendar. We are closed for all bank holidays and five inset days each school year.
We are a Charity based Pre-school which means we are a non-profiting company. We are also a committee run Pre-school which means parents past and present come together once every half term to discuss the Pre-school.
We work along the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum(EYFS).
The settings are free flow allowing children to access the play/ educational materials as to their individual requirements both inside and out.
At Sticky Fingers Pre-School we take great pride in taking on new initiatives and accreditations to keep improving our practice.
You can see the evidence of these in the contents list at the side, please do have a look.
- Millies Mark: This is an accreditation that ensures all our staff have and are competent in first aid.
- Healthy Early Years Award: This is three sections based around Healthy Eating, Physical development and oral Health.
- SunSafe Nursery: Each year we update and renew our pledge to be a sun safe setting and protect children and families.
- #Just Quality: Adding Impact. This accreditation is based around showing evidence of our intentions, how we implement them and the IMPACT they have on the setting, children and families.
